S T A R Stadium Turf for Athletics and Recreation A community/school based project to provide a first class facility for the entire youth and adult community of
Fall, 2008 Members of the A special committee, known as the STAR (Stadium Turf for Athletics and Recreation) Committee, has been formed to assist with fund raising for several aspects of this initiative. The committee, along with coaches, athletes and other community members, plan on saving dollars by doing some of the work themselves, such as dismantling the old bleachers. These efforts, along with time donated by professionals working on excavating and electrical, will help reduce costs. Even with these volunteer efforts, the entire cost of the project is in excess of $1 million dollars and most of the financial obligation must be raised through donations and fund raising efforts of everyone involved. This is where you come in – we need your help. Through a donation and by spreading the word to your vendors and suppliers, kindly make every effort to help this worthwhile cause. The STAR Committee is requesting financial assistance in the form of a tax deductible donation to help make this new facility a reality to the students and community of
